Your body is made up of over 30 trillion cells and this makes the human body complex and at the same time vulnerable. Now, don't get alarmed, but inside the human body, 1 million cells die every second. If we weighed it out it would be around 1.2 kg! Again, not to worry, and let's keep in mind that some of our organs can regenerate, like our livers. The liver, if injured or diseased will grow back but not in the same shape or form. Your cells are unique in this way. Another is your skin, which is constantly being renewed and repaired.
One has to think, what diseases affect our cells? Autoimmune diseases attack your healthy cells, this is only done by mistake though as they will attack organs of your body like your joints or skin thinking they are a foreign threat. Arthritis and Dermatitis are two more such diseases. Some diseases only attack a specific target; like Diabetes which attacks the pancreas.
It's a simple but sometimes deadly process that your body plays out. When your body senses danger or harm from a virus or infection your immune system rallies like an army and attacks it.
